This privacy policy explains how Rascasse GmbH (“we”, “us”) collects and processes personal data when you visit our website at rascasse.com (“Website”). We are committed to protecting your privacy and processing data only as described below.
In short: By default, this website sets no cookies and runs no tracking. With your consent we use (a) our own privacy-friendly, cookie-free analytics and (b) — only if you choose “Accept all” — the LinkedIn Insight Tag on our company pages for B2B campaign measurement and retargeting. You can decline both with one click; the website works identically either way.
When you access our website, our hosting provider automatically collects technical data required to deliver the page. This includes:
Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR — legitimate interest in ensuring website security and stability.
Retention: Log files are deleted after 30 days.
If you enter your email address to unlock ranking data or subscribe to our newsletter, we store the address, the page it was entered on, language, and timestamps. You receive a confirmation email (double opt-in); we only send further emails after you confirm. Every email contains an unsubscribe link. If you use a business email address, we may store it in our CRM to follow up on your interest.
Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR — consent (newsletter); Art. 6(1)(f) — legitimate interest (B2B follow-up on business addresses).
Retention: until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete your data.
When you contact us via our contact form or email, we collect the data you provide (name, email address, message content). This data is used exclusively to respond to your inquiry.
Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR — performance of a contract or pre-contractual measures.
Retention: Contact data is retained for the duration of the business relationship plus statutory retention periods (typically 6–10 years for commercial correspondence).
On your first visit we ask for your choice: “Reject all” (no analytics, no marketing), “Analytics only”, or “Accept all” (analytics + marketing). Your choice is stored in your browser’s localStorage and can be revised at any time by clearing site data for rascasse.com.
If you consent, we measure page views and interactions (e.g. clicks on our own buttons and forms) with a self-built, cookie-free tool. We store: page visited, language, referrer, screen size, a random session identifier (localStorage, expires after 30 days), country derived from your browser time zone, and UTM parameters. No IP address, no fingerprinting, no personal data; the data is processed on our own infrastructure (Google Cloud, EU region) and is not shared or sold.
Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR, § 25(1) TDDDG — consent.
Only if you choose “Accept all”, and only on our company pages (never on our public rankings and audience profiles), we load the LinkedIn Insight Tag. It sets LinkedIn cookies and enables us to (a) measure the performance of LinkedIn campaigns and (b) show relevant Rascasse content on LinkedIn to professionals who visited our company pages (“retargeting”). LinkedIn processes this data as described in the LinkedIn Privacy Policy; for the collection via the Insight Tag we and LinkedIn are joint controllers under Art. 26 GDPR (Joint Controller Addendum).
Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR, § 25(1) TDDDG — consent. Provider: LinkedIn Ireland Unlimited Company, Wilton Place, Dublin 2, Ireland; transfers to the USA are covered by the EU-US Data Privacy Framework. Withdrawal: clear site data for rascasse.com, or object to LinkedIn ads via your LinkedIn ad settings.
Beyond the above, we use the browser’s localStorage solely to remember preferences (e.g. your consent choice, a dismissed banner, an unlocked ranking). localStorage is not transmitted to our servers by itself.
We use Google Fonts to display typography. When you load a page, your browser connects to Google servers (fonts.googleapis.com, fonts.gstatic.com) and transmits your IP address. Google processes this data under their Privacy Policy.
Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR — legitimate interest in a consistent and professional website appearance.
Provider: Google LLC, 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA. Data transfers to the USA are covered by the EU-US Data Privacy Framework.
Some pages display interactive maps provided by Mapbox. When loading a map, your browser connects to Mapbox servers and transmits your IP address. Mapbox processes this data under their Privacy Policy.
Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR — legitimate interest in providing location-based visualizations.
Provider: Mapbox Inc., 740 15th Street NW, Suite 500, Washington DC 20005, USA.
Our website is hosted in Germany (Hetzner Online GmbH). The third-party services listed above may transfer data to the United States. These transfers are safeguarded by the EU-US Data Privacy Framework and/or Standard Contractual Clauses pursuant to Art. 46(2)(c) GDPR.
